SysCloud raises $2.5M in funding led by Inventus Capital PartnersA data backup and security suite for Google Apps, SysCloud has raised $2.5 million in series A funding led by Inventus Capital Partners. Existing investor KAE Capital also participated in the funding round.

SysCloud was founded in 2010 by Vijay Krishna. It offers a suite of tools that provides protection for data in Google Apps through real-time backups, insights and security policies.

SysCloud plans to use this funding to expand sales and marketing efforts, scale current operations, and accelerate development for continued product innovation. John Dougary of Inventus will be joining the board of directors at SysCloud.

“Customers want an application which acts as a single pane of glass to secure their data across all the clouds with uniform policies and controls applied across all. Otherwise, it becomes cumbersome to have to program policies into each vendor’s management panel.” said Vijay Krishna, CEO of SysCloud.

“As we continue to read about data breaches among some of the largest companies around the world, SysCloud’s data security suite is becoming an invaluable tool for companies and organizations with sensitive data.” said John Dougery, Managing Director of Inventus Capital, as appeared in Yahoo! Finance.
